I started blogging when I was 15. I did this mainly for the money. I wanted to buy hardware to play Half-Life 2 and its sequels.
So I looked for ways to make money online. I found Filipinos already making big online: macuha.com, and jehzlau-concepts.com. I made different kinds of websites - some with limited success, some performed well but went down due to bad management (I blame it partly on being young and immature).

Now I'm 19 and the year just changed, let's try this again. My current goal is $1000 per month. I currently make 5% of that. It is possible.
